A student-led initiative
Better skin research starts together.
HerDerm brings students together to explore dermatology, ask thoughtful questions and make room for more voices in research and publication.
Open questions. Shared purpose.
HerDerm is an international, student-led dermatology research and publication initiative. We create space for students to engage with research, work alongside peers and develop ideas with care.
Read our vision and mission- 01
Learn with care
Build understanding through thoughtful, evidence-minded work. We focus on the process as much as the outcome: asking clear questions and learning sound research practices.
- 02
Make room
Welcome different perspectives and paths into research. Dermatology can feel like a big field to enter alone, so we open the door to more voices.
- 03
Share responsibly
Give credit, be transparent, and publish only work that is ready for readers.
How the work moves
From good questions to careful work.
Research moves forward one considered step at a time. As projects progress and work becomes publicly available, this site will hold the details and links readers need.
Publications will appear here.
Each entry will carry its full title, author list, publication venue, year and a direct link to the original record.
- 1
Ask a clear question
Projects begin with curiosity about skin, written down as a question that can actually be examined.
- 2
Learn the method
Peers work through sound research practices together, learning from one another along the way.
- 3
Contribute with purpose
Each person takes on work they can stand behind, with credit given where it is due.
- 4
Share what is ready
Work is published only once it is ready for readers, with the details they need to explore it themselves.
People make the work possible.
An international student community, connected by an interest in dermatology research. The Executive Council and contributors help shape the initiative's work and its community.
We will introduce members here with their permission and with details they have reviewed.
